Frequently asked questions

How are my rides planned?

CyclePilot combines your goals and weekly kilometres with the current weather forecast and your calendar appointments. Training is only suggested on days that fall within your limits for wind, chance of rain and temperature, and is added to your calendar automatically. If the weather changes, it replans.

Where do my completed rides come from?

You can connect Strava and/or enable Apple Health. Completed rides are imported automatically and merged automatically, no matter the source. The same ride from several sources counts only once. If a ride is missing its heart rate, it is filled in from the other sources where possible.

Do I need an account?

No, you don't need a user account. Your training and health data stay on your device and in your iCloud – we store none of it. Only the optional Strava instant notification uses a small relay service that merely passes on activity IDs, not your rides.

How do I revoke permissions?

You can manage Apple Health access in the iOS Settings under "Privacy & Security → Health", and calendar access under "Privacy & Security → Calendars". You can disconnect Strava directly in the app's settings.

Which devices does CyclePilot run on?

iPhone, iPad and Mac. Your data syncs through your iCloud.
